Yes, the ever-popular game is back! For those who've forgotten, the rules are:

1. One of us quotes an episode (and tells us which season it's from).
2. The rest of us try and guess what episode the quote comes from.
3. The winner (and ONLY the winner - no barging in, please) sets the next one.
4. Like ccb's quizzes, only checking the actual episode is allowed (no other resources, for example books written by Susan Kesler ).

Before that unfortunate mishap, the quote was "Was that a shot?" as set by nittanyapple...

Jim's the one who opens the fortune cookie in TNT Dragon Screamed. He later quotes the fortune to a waitress at the Chinese restaurant, shortly before a guy pops out of a hidden door and throws a hatchet at him - which Jim catches!

Yes, indeed, thanks for the help, CalGal. Old beerbad can use all the help he can get.

I am back at the library after several days of being snowed in. Snow days are a mixed blessing, in that I get to watch a lot of TV, but cabin fever does begin to set in.

Next clue should give it away.

Clue #4 - This is a fortune cookie saying. And, yes, from the 1st season.

I'll answer in case beerbad can't get back to the library. Check the initial mentioning of the quote (after his answer to niecie's quote). This one is from the first season.

What season it is from?

Clue #3 - 13 won't go into 12.

Clue #2 - Ah, the old spike trap.
beerbad Posted - 01/03/2018 : 08:29:16
Clue #1 for "In the house of delights, even a painful truth is sugar sweet" - Is this where we get the term hatchet man?

I am going ahead and post two more clues on the next page, since I may not be able to get back online for a few days. The east coast is expecting a snowstorm to come up the coast from Florida. I do this on the library's computers so I may not get back for a few days.

If you want to challenge yourself more, don't go to the next page for awhile. But, if you do it's fine, it's all just for fun anyway.

You got it, beerbad.
beerbad Posted - 12/30/2017 : 09:22:47
Sorry, I got it wrong the first time out as to the royal personage portrayed.

Oh, I know the answer for sure; but I won't submit it. I don't mind the guessing game, but for me it's near torture thinking up the next quote and (especially) clues.

If you, or someone else, will take over the next quote, I'll give the answer.

Right, that's her. I always wonder who these people are that don't receive credit for their small roles. She doesn't have a name, but she is the lady in the fox hunting attire.

I had two more clues" One was "graveyard" for Artie's eulogy for himself and the other was an "Igor" like character drives a hearse.
niecie Posted - 12/06/2017 : 10:33:43
I do believe that's the lady in the teaser of TNOT Skulls over whom Our Heroes quarrel. She's talking to Artemus, but Jim horns in.
beerbad Posted - 12/05/2017 : 08:40:53
Clue #3 - One of our heroes ends up in the dungeon, so the place must be sort of a "castle east".
beerbad Posted - 12/02/2017 : 09:39:27
Clue #2 - "baying hounds".
beerbad Posted - 11/30/2017 : 09:32:17
Let's see if I can come up with clues based on lyrics from the Halloween rock and roll song "Monster Mash". I know I'm slipping, but it just might work.

Clue #1 - "An eerie sight"

niecie Posted - 11/29/2017 : 09:21:52
If it said snake instead of pebble, that would be Woody from Toy Story 1...

(I'll have to think about this one!)
