Thanks much, Sordo! Looks like I'll have to catch up with 4th season dvds to see the episodes I missed on ME-TV. Sedgewick Curse and Kraken were my favorites I couldn't see...

One of my personal favorites of the whole series!

Dieter, I was thinking of you when I watched it last night, remembering that you had mentioned before that this was your very first episode.

The first one that I remember seeing (way back in 1971 or so when I was 9) was TONTINE and also SKULLS. Those two stick in my mind as being the first ones that I have a memory of seeing.

Just a slight pet peeve of mine (and no real big deal) - the actor's name is Ted Knight; his character name was Ted Baxter.

In my experience (and I've had a LOT of experience), most actors prefer to be recognized by their own name rather than a character.

the actor who played Deuce from THE NIGHT DR. LOVELESS DIED played the Portuguese fisherman in this one

OMG, I will NOT miss this one!

This one is one of my all-time faves!

watching it right now

I believe that the exterior of the Sedgewick mansion is the same one that they used for TONTINE

Season 4 had some good episodes

it has been so long since I have seen this one that I could not tell what Me TV edited out

good Season 4 music in this one and some funny performances by RM in his disguises

Oh yes I'll be Back!!! Haha...I missss seeing how the eps were edited for the ME-TV airings!! They are actually much better than some of the other channels I recorded WWW from. Other stations completely drop closing credits or have next show ad over the credits. ME-TV rules with NO annoying promo ads during the show or end credits.

look for a BLOOPER at end of JUGGERNAUT when Jim and Artie's train engine is numbered "16" at beginning of the end and magically turns to number "8"
SordoTheBandit Posted - 09/23/2017 : 06:38:10
This is a great episode from season 4 that is full of adventure.

Ross Martin's leg was in a cast so most of his scenes were done with him seated.

This was the first episode that was completed after Ross broke his leg.
Desert Roger Posted - 09/21/2017 : 17:16:06
JUGGERNAUT is up next.
When I was in junior high this was my favorite episode.
It is kind of cornball now, but has some good parts like when Artie takes the drink that he knows is spiked.
niecie Posted - 09/20/2017 : 09:31:29
I did crack up over Artie's reaction when he realized the person who came into the varnish car was NOT the colonel. He was annoying, the way he all but drooled over the secretary, but I thought she was quite professional in that she did her best to ignore him. (And then she gave him that bit of information that got his mind back on his work in an instant.)
Nydiva Posted - 09/17/2017 : 21:24:45
I think Artie's treatment of the secretary was about par for the course of how women were written about in those days.

But I must say I found Ross's portrayal quite sexy (in a 60s sexist way). I'd never have been able to read with him looking over my shoulder like that! I'd have jumped him! LOL

a fun episode, but what did you think of Artie's treatment of Colonel Richmond's secretary?
