(We've changed this from the poll format so people could vote for more than one epsiode...)
Hi All --
The Sci-Fi Lovers Books and Films web site - http://www25.brinkster.com/topscifi/index.html - recently had a vote (which we didn't know about) on the best Sci-Fi shows of all time. WWWest came in 33, which isn't too bad considering many newsgroups apparently stacked the vote.
Sci-Fi Lovers Books and Films has asked us Wild Wild West fans to vote on our Top Five most Sci-Fi episodes. They will be putting the final Top Five on their site along with episode synopses. Please list your Top 5 Sci-Fi eps - one list per person, please.
We'll turn the Top Five overall in to the site for publication. See the Top Sci-Fi tv shows list at http://www25.brinkster.com/topscifi/page37.html We've listed some sci-fi'ish eps in no particular order to get you started in the Poll Results. Some suggested episodes:
TNot Lord of Limbo TNot Puppeteer TNot Krakan TNot Murderous Spring TNot Wolf TNot Surreal McCoy TNot Janus TNot Burning Diamond TNot Doomsday Formula TNot Winged Terror TNot Man-Eating House

Okay, here are mine. Burning Diamond Surreal McCoy Lord of Limbo Puppeteer Raven Sorry but I just don't classify Murderous Spring as Science Fiction even though it was a great episode and probably the best one ever!

I know the feeling. I winced when I saw sassy's nomination of "The Man-Eating House," which I don't think of as sci-fi, either. I do think it's one of the best ghost stories ever created for television, and, for all its deviations from the series' formula, may be my favorite episode of all.

You don't have to choose from the list. The list is there to help get people started.

I agree that we probably need to decide what is science fiction and what is not. Fantasy and science fiction are often lumped together so I'm going to do that also. I think "Man-Eating House is great although it is supernatural, so it's #1. But, the early Dr. Loveless episodes are also great, like "The Wizard Shook the Earth" because he used inventions that did not exist at the time {a bomb that could destroy an entire city] and so that is sc-fi to me. So, that is #2. Time travel to me is fantasy but to most people is science fiction so "Lord of Limbo" is #3. I watched "Murderous Spring" this week and it was good so it's #4. Dr. Loveless used a chmical to induce people to muder each on on a grand scale leaving him alone in the world. Chillingly realistic but still science fiction. And, I'd like to nominate "The Falcon" since nobody has nominated it yet for #5. Robert Duval is always good and a giant cannon shaped like a falcon seems very Jules Verne to me.
