Mr. Family Board sees danger in everything. Mr. Family Board, however, is staying way away from this one. Mr. Family Board could, but won't, touch this even with a ten-foot-pole. Mr. Family Board won't even make references to the title... erm.. that's it.

Mr. Family Board appears to have the dirtiest mind this side of John Ashcroft, the Attorney General who insists on draping the chest of statuesque Lady Justice. Sheesh!

First of all, ccb, I really must compliment you on the artistic arrangement of the last two quizzes!

18. Artie eats a hard-boiled egg in Amnesiac (and looks very interested in it as part of his magician cover).

I think Jim says he's famished in Poisonous Posey.

No. 3 - KMills says its Artie. I wonder if it's Jim since he took it first. Or both of them? (TNOT Tartar)

Ketchup is from THE NIGHT OF THE AVARICIOUS ACTUARY. The guy gets to eat at the fancy food place with Artie disguised as a waiter. The badguy wants ketchup for his soup and crackers.

A quiz well-played by most of our regulars. Congratulations to all, even to the lasciviously-minded Spring. (How's that for a catchy title for some fanfic author out there: "The Night of the Lascivious Spring"?)

I begin by filling in the few remaining gaps:

Peanuts: I was indeed thinking of West at the Hannibal Amusement Park ("The Glowing Corpse," Act II), though Akbar the not-so-sacred elephant would also qualify ("The Gypsy Peril," Act I).

Roast pig: Artie's weapon in "The Green Terror" looks to me more like a hefty leg of venison. I believe that Adam Barclay invites West to a banquet that includes traditional, Polynesian roast pig in "The Deadly Blossom."

Shish Kebob: Another delicacy converted into a practical weapon—Señor Cefalu vs. Herr Osterpolyer in "The Infernal Machine" (Act III).

Salmon glacé: This, I think, is on the menu of The Epicurean Society ("The Avaricious Actuary," Act II). As Just Plain Roger points out, you have to ask for the ketchup (Act III).

Quail under glass: Allegedly offered, "with an excellent wine," by Loveless to the Ambassador of Hertzberg ("The Surreal McCoy," Act II).

Thick, gooey bon-bons: Several of you got this one but couldn't place the name. It's Madame LaFarge, whose namesake knitted beneath the guillotines of the French Revolution. "Heads will roll!" ("The Howling Light," Act II).

Chateau Rothschild, 1806: Your generous Quizmaster accepted any episode that referred to CR, but I believe—though I'm not positive—that the only one specifying the 1806 vintage ("bottled in that most best of years") was "The Tottering Tontine" (Act IV): Maurice's offer to Baring.

Now to the prizes:

An honorable mention goes to J. P. Roger, for incisively stepping back into WQ after his long, hot, awful tour of duty. Welcome back home!

The Redoubtable Leroy astounds us all that Artie indeed salted a hard-boiled egg with panache in "The Amnesiac." She also receives a special feather of merit for correctly identifying the source of this WQ's title: "The Poisonous Posey," Act I, just before West blasts the feathers and a tarantula all to hell.

A splendid runner-up Henrietta goes to The Red of Head, with seven and one-half correct answers. (To fill out her #14, consult both K Mills and Adorable Blue.)

And this Weekend's winning Anabella goes to K herself, with eleven—count 'em—eleven correct answers. (Okay, so she mistitled the episode for #18, but we all know that she knows it.) Congratulations!

And Arabella coos her thanks. For a while she was worried that she'd lose another plume.
