I was looking through a June 1969 TV Guide when I saw that Ross guest starred on Carol Burnett. He sang a song called "The Man in the Looking Glass" and he and Carol did a medley dedicated to his TV role.

I sure would like to see that. I tried youtube with no success so far.

This, and RM's appearance on Laugh-In are two I've looked for. Neither are in the common syndication packages for these shows, and I am not sure why.

I swear I would buy the entire series at whatever cost (though it would kill my budget) WERE it available. There are tons of compilation DVDs, but no way to know the content. Grrrrrr!

After watching (and taping) the Mitzi special, I want to hear more of Ross when he really sings.

I've long wondered why more of Carol Burnett isn't on DVD. On the last local PBS fundraising stint, they offered a series of "Best of Carol Burnett" but I don't know if it's available generally.

I suppose it's a rights issue of some sort. Usually seems to boil down to that when old shows don't appear on DVD.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

I think you're right Cal Gal, the rights...so many people involved, music, etc.

I think the Best of DVDs on PBS are part of the collections put out by TimeLife.com. Ross is not in any of them.

I love them on Password. I have it taped and my kids loved the show and Carol. She was in Pittsburgh last night...I should have taken them to see her.
