He sure was a top-notch character actor. RIP Don Gordon.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

I never realized that he was in one of Ross Martin's episodes of TZ, The Four of Us are Dying. Wow. These early television character actors were so good at hiding in a role!

nittany apple: I never realized that he was in one of Ross Martin's episodes of TZ, The Four of Us are Dying. Wow. These early television character actors were so good at hiding in a role!

Fun fact: The main character in "The Four of Us Are Dying" was played by four West alumni: Harry Townes ("Double-Edged Knife"; "Tottering Tontine"), Ross Martin, Phil Pine ("Glowing Corpse"), and Don Gordon ("Cadre"). And the female lead was played by Beverly Garland ("Cut-Throats"; "Bleak Island").

Sad fact: None of them is with us any longer.
