With the surprising discovery that one of our regulars is a mere 14 years old, it strikes me as a good time to find out just who our West denizens are.

Or who you want us to think you are.

Ready?

1. Name, age, locale, other personal details which you chose to share publicly.

2. Why do you watch The Wild, Wild West?

(Looking at responses to similar questions, it's clear this show can be viewed on many, many levels. What about Wild Wild West "does it for you"?)

3. Your fave eps, and why.

4. Your least fave eps, and why.

5. Where do you think the sleeping quarters are on The Train? Proof?
   (mathematical proof preferred...)

6. What would you like to see from this forum?

7. What would you like to see from this web site?

Here goes mine.......:

1. Name's sweet, irresistable AdorableBlue; age : definitely an age to hook James West and ensure he's all mine; but alas! location: 17 flight hours away from you all (and James West!)!!!!!!!!

2. Why I watch WWW???? That MAN in BLUE!!!!!!! Head to Toe!!! Especially certain irresistable anatomy :) When I'm sober and well-recovered from *that*, I appreciate the gadgets, the sleekness and style of James West and the relationship between West and Gordon.

3. Fav eps. Has to be Bars of Hell, followed real close with Death Mask. The first, being the eps where West is in jeopardy most of the time!

4. Least fav. eps.....gee......have not come to that yet.........

5. Probably near the area where James always changes his clothes?

6. This forum??? Happy as it is........(though the *one* I'd really want......can't be here unless it has passwords for access) KMills would know, yeah, she'd know what I'm babbling about...... ;)

7. What I'd like to see in this Website - Episodic Pics on eps that don't appear on other websites......

Phew!!! Went through that! How did I do?????

Ok, Blue you did great! Here's some stuff from K Mills. The K stands for Karen. I live in Kansas. I am really old especially now I am potty training my 2 year old. I have a quarter horse and a miniature horse, six cats, goldfish and a german shepard. I watch W3 because I love partner shows, cool gadgets and good looking men. My favorite ep so far is Jack O'Diamonds or Murderous Spring. My least favorite was Fatal Trap even though Mojave Mike was wonderful. The sleeping quarters are right down the hallway from the closet close to the stable car. X + Y = Z I have a minor in Math. This forum is great especially ccb's questions. I agree with Blue some pics would be nice. That's all, who's next?

1. Me name is Missy, I'm the local Monkee fan who's 14, been watching the show for about... ummm... four or five years, I think. I ain't been counting. And I live a bit south of Houston, Texas.

2. 'Cuz most newer shows ain't as good as the classics. (now what did you expect from a fan of Monkees and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young?) I like the gadgets and the anachronisms.

3. Fave eps? Lord of Limbo, the Trekker in me loves the time travel. Grand Emir, the classical music lover in me adores Johann Strauss Jr. Glowing Corpse, the geek in me loves picking out anachronisms (like when was the Franco-Prussian War?)

4. I ain't sure which ones I don't like... I guess the ones I haven't seen in a while, they're just taunting me about it.

5. Sleeping quarters? Where? The horsies have their own car, and I don't want to know where the human sleeping quarters are since I don't recall seeing a bathroom anywheres.

6. I guess a forum for the whole show, one for good guys in general (Richmond, Loveless, Manzeppi, those guys), one for bad guys (Grant, Custer, Sherman, you know them), whatever.

7. What would you like to see from this web site? I dunno.

monmeemaven is only 14 years old? What the...? I thought you said that you were 55.

I am Roger Blakely, age 39 until 27 April when I am scheduled to turn 40, if I live that long.

Been watching TWWW since the 4th Grade I think. I like it because of the music, the style, the adventure, Jim West fighting against superior odds and winning.

Favorite eps would be SURREAL McCOY, LIMBO, BLACKMAIL, DEATHMASKS, TONTINE

I am a soldier in the Army stationed at Fort Sheridan, IL (25 miles north of Chicago)

Enjoy the forum. Still can't believe monkeemaven is 14.

Yeee!

Kris, age 36 (4 years behind ya, Roger), Los Angeles. I'm a rocket scientist at USC by day. And no, I'm not into the USC-UCLA football thing. This gal went to the UDub so I win big when the Huskies kick California butt, and I'm proud to say that I'm up much $$ from the past five years. (smirk) When I'm not trying to work on the web site or doing work I'm actually paid for, I am slave to my cockatiel and TB gelding who I actually ride 5 days a week come hell or high water.

Growing up, like too many others I didn't have exactly the best role models at home, but boy oh boy I sure did on the tv - Jim and Artemus! These gentlemen are Very Good Humans and heroes in the true sense of the word - none of this modern "flawed hero" or "antihero" crap for the Secret Service's finest!

So let's see... hmmm -- I ride, I shoot, I'm a rocket scientist, and I try hard to be a Good Human, so I guess I paid some attention to my chosen role models. And I'm very grateful to them for keeping me out of the endless circle of (your favourite familial dysfunctionality here).

I kind of feel I owe the web site to James West and Artemus Gordon. I wish I had more time and/or help for it, but as it stands it is my way of saying "thanks" to two gentlemen I admire very much.

It all depends upon my mood. I enjoy John kneubuhl's writing and what the cast then did with it very much, so most of John's episodes come to mind.

Fun episodes? TNot Feathered Fury
Dramatic? TNot Hangman
Episodes with a shootout in a barn? TNo Fire and Brimstone!

With respect to colour-vs-B&Ws, I really love the atmos of the B&Ws but...

4. Your least fave eps, and why.

....absolutely HATE it when a writer clearly does not know what to do with Artemus, so a number of the B&Ws end up on this list, too.

Also the trained seal act pretty much says it all for TNot Tycoons. James West doing James Kirk and an inane bad-guy makes TNot Druid's Blood septic-tank fodder.

But give me a bad ep of WWWest over any other show anyday!

Who do you think wrote most of the Fractured Fizziks on Elder Nelson's Wild Wild West web site?

If I remember correctly, the kinematics nightmare I picked at for FF was TNot Falcon rather than Deadly Blossom. I haven't written one of those for awhile so maybe I'll spend a little time on Blossom in the next couple of weeks.

Hey, KMills, why did you not like Fatal Trap? It had some wonderful scenes, like the banters between J&A in the beginning when Jim was printing the poster of himself........And then there are the scenes between Jim and the crook's gal (can't remember her name)....those scenes were so cute! I was amused when Jim was changing, taking off his pants behind the partition........and she got panic! That was funny...........! So different from other eps!

Those were the amusing scenes I like in this eps, so it can't go into least fav eps. list. Hhhhhhmmmmmm............I'm a romantic!

Okay, time for me to sign in:

Personal Details: One of the c's stands for Clifton. I'll soon turn 47, making me well over three times as old as MonkeeMaven. I may be one of the few regular visitors to this site who remembers watching the series in its original run. I live and work in Princeton, NJ.

Why Do I Watch the Show? Good question, whose answer I don't fully know. I guess it connects me happily with my childhood: whimsical fantasy, intelligence, style, good taste, integrity, a sense of humor. Few of those things distinguished my childhood, or for that matter anyone else's.

Favorite Episodes: John Kneubuhl's Big Three: The Man-Eating House, The Murderous Spring, The Returning Dead. When I was eleven years old, these three sealed my love for the series. Who knows how many times I have seen each of these? I'd still drop anything to watch any of them.

Least Favorite Episode: The Tycoons. How do I dislike it? Need I count the ways?

Location of the Sleeping Quarters: At the end of the varnish car, which we never saw. BTW: Has anyone else out there seen a recently published novelty book called TV Sets? Created by an architect who loves classic TV, it presents his blueprints of the great sets of great series. He found places for separate sleeping compartments for both West and Artemus. I can't remember exactly where he put them, but I do recall its making sense.

What would I like to see on this forum or website: Three things:
1. An analysis of music for the series. I started researching and writing one a year ago, and am nowhere close to finishing it.
2. Audio reproductions of the series' original trailers. (sassy2 knows what I mean, but she has a day-job, too.)
3. Why don't all of this site's frequent flyers collaborate in rating, in one to five stars with specified highlights and lowlights, each of the 104 episodes? Who's better qualified than we to render this service to a waiting world? At one episode a week, it would take us only two years to do the job.
