. . . some of whose members are sure to make your own kin look a lot better!

Everyone knows about Mr. Gordon's Great-Aunt Maude, for whom no self-respecting pigeon should be asked to sacrifice even a pin-feather. But who, in our favorite series, had, actually or supposedly, a(n)

A tough one. I can only answer 4 right now, and only two of those I’m fairly certain of –
2. Brother Thaddeus - TNOT Human Trigger. Faith’s brother.

8. Uncle Heinrich – TNOT Whirring Death. Pricilla’s Uncle, a toymaker

12. Aunt Melanie – TNO Sabatini’s Death. The blind girl, Sylvia’a, aunt.

15. Aunt Celia – TNOT Tycoons, Lyle’s Aunt (so of dead company owner)

Only one more that seems like I should know…Brother Bert, but I just can’t put my finger on it. Uncle Jean-Paul too, now that I think on it. Maybe if I watch a few episodes, I’ll come up with some more.

Too bad they don't have a Wild Wild West marathon going on this weekend. But, then again, most of us can have their own with tapes/dvd they own. But even though I have a good amount of the episodes taped, I still like to see a channel or two showing it, and will opt to watch that instead of the tape (sorry, I haven't gotten to ordering dvds yet).

Gee, Stash, would ya believe, just to be able to watch the missing J&A banter scenes (e.g. Casual Killer, Fatal Trap) makes it worth getting those CH DVDs

I wonder if .........some relation of that eps with the monks making wine appeared in ccb's list up there. And, I remembered the burgoo, but I can't remember if Artie gave a name or not in Hangman. As for the rest, Blue's still stumped

Mystery deepens no more, ccb dearie. Found it

Unfortunately, I'm one of the people outside the "most"; I only own the three CBS-released, one-episode tapes. I'm hoping to get a job and be able to subscribe to Columbia House.

Until then, I can keep hoping Hallmark starts playing WWW again...

Names. There are times I can't remember my own. They have always been a problem. Hence, I don't know the answer and the ones I did know have all been named.

1. Daughter Catherine

This one keeps nudging at me. I don't know the name of the episode because it's one I taped off of reruns some years ago and the title was one of many things cut out.

The episode where Jim and Arte have to save a scientist trapped deep in a mine, with bad guys in control above-ground and searching for him. Arte goes to find a doctor for the injurred scientist, and is later followed by his daughter, who gives away the fact that Jim and Arte have found a way into the mine. I think her name was Catherine, although I'm far from certain.

Maany thanks for the title, Blue. I get a huge kick out of that episode for the way Arte takes on the character of General Robert E. Lee to release the old soldier from his meaningless duty while preserving the man's honor and pride. Arte always had a good heart.

5. Uncle Jean-Paul Night of the Pelican

Good for you. If memory fails, a little old-fashioned research does the job everytime.

But—be careful. You're looking not merely for the names but, just as important, the family relations (mother, father, uncle, aunt, whatever). The series used some names more than once, sometimes attached to characters whose family we knew not all all.

Let's keep this quiz going another 24 or hours or so. I'm interested to see what you turn up, now that Sister Mary has primed the pump.

I found some had more than one name. I took a guess at which you meant since some were none to clear. Take for instance son Frank which had about three possibilites. I chose the one that might be it. Perhaps you meant Frank Harper but how he would be a son, no idea.

Darn, thought I had one - 16. Niece Lina. But I double-checked and the niece in TNoT Steel Assassin is Nina Gilbert.

Back to the dreary hunt

My first thought of "Frank" was Jim's disguise of Frank Slade. But then he's not a "son" unless he's compared to Mohave Mike who's older. And I can't remember if Mohave Mike ever called "Frank Slade" son.........

Why didn't ccb give us "Uncle James" instead of Father James

I just watched TNOT Assassin this weekend (per the quizmasters encouragement), and found that the assassin was Frank Halvorson. His father made an appearance in the episode, the old guy from Texas, I think his first name was Leroy. Artie was imitating him to get into the jail to talk to the assassin. Is this the Frank that our Quizmaster was referring to?

By jingiebanks, that's him! And Stash nailed another two:

2. Brother Thaddeus- TNOT Human Trigger. Faith’s brother.

12. Aunt Melanie – TNO Sabatini’s Death. The blind girl, Sylvia’a, aunt.

But let's not forget Blue:

13. Brother Bert—One of two brothers in TNOT Colonel's Ghost

15. Aunt Celia—The sister of the dead guy in Bleak Island

That's two more. But wait—there's couldron. She gave us:

1. Catherine Kittridge from the Legion of Death [daughter of Dan Kittridge]

3. Mother Prudence Fortune—Big Blast

4. Father James—Headless Woman['s] Commissioner James Jeffers

6. Daughter Glory [Povey]—The Night of a Thousand Eyes

7. Daughter [of Harry Holmes,] Mary—The Night of the Circus of Death

14. Father [of Carma], Luis Vasquez—Flaming Ghost

16. Niece Lina—Night of the Cossacks

all of which is not bad for one who claimed to remember no names. That leaves only:

5. Uncle Jean-Paul Ormont, whose niece was Cluny ("The Night of the Glowing Corpse");

8. Uncle Heinrich Scharff, whose niece was Gerda ("The Feathered Fury"; Artie posed as Uncle Hans);

9. Brother Simon, whose sister was Amelia Bronston ("The Tycoons");

10. Uncle Werner Otto Liebnicht, who appeared "The Night Dr. Loveless Died." And who could forget

11. Lavinia Sedgewick's decrepit but younger Brother Philip ("The Sedgewick Curse")?

So: tina_als_girl, artemusgordonwest, and Silver receive Honorable Mentions for their encouragement. Stash and Blue enjoy their Henry and Henrietta, respectively. And Mary takes last weekend's Anabella. Congratulations, one and all!

It's so good to see our Adminstrator back on board. Lord, child, where have you been?

I'm forgetting something. Oh, yes:

Meet George Jetson
18. His Boy Elroy
19. Daughter Judy
20. Jane, His Wife

I apologize. I just couldn't resist.

Blue they are a cartoon family and at the begining of each episode you heard Here's George Jetson His Boy Elroy Daughter Judy and Jane, His Wife.Wasn't Rosie the Robot introduced too? Can't recall.

Remember I said I cheated and looked it all up. I do admire those who remember such details. Thanks for a wonderful quiz.
