It is Artie, I'll give you that. But wrong episode.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

I knew I had heard this quote recently. Good clue, Cal Gal. And a nice little history lesson figuring it out.

That's it. John Brown's body lies a-mouldering in the grave...

Your turn, DT. You can post a slightly harder one this time.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

How about Jim to Rhoda in Fugitives?

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

"Who?" from Season 4 is the clue?! You're kidding, right?

I have a one-word reply, first uttered by Ned Buntline in 'Vipers': FOUL!!!

"What's death without a woman's touch?"

Nah! We've been at this so long that there aren't that many "good ones" left. Just wait, I'm going to ask folks to identify the source the quote "Jim!" one of these days.

We'll find it. Never fear.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

I agree--It's a tough one, but I can remember certain scenes where the ONE word like that just stuck out in a certain episode. Just gotta remember which ep!

Jim to dying Sanchos in Pistoleros

p.s. Don't forget to check DT's guess about 2-3 posts up. Kind of got buried in the commentary.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.

I was just about to say the same thing. In thinking about that scene in Pistoleros, that's not quite what Jim says to Sanchos. More like "Tell me..."

Oh well, back to the drawing board. I have a feeling a clue or two or three is going to be required!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

I'm going to take the first wild guess:

Jim to Colonel Gonzalez of the Mexican Secret Service in Assassin.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Wild guess #2

Jim to Col. Sanchez in Montezuma's Hordes

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

I'm going to try another wild stab.

Artie to the colonel in the parlor car in Amnesiac?

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.

Still no go.

If no-one has it by tonight I will give a clue - but, be warned, I've been thinking about a good clue for 24 hrs.
