Possibly, but Druid's Blood is not the one I'm thinking of.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Not Human Trigger. Perhaps it would help if I posted it this way.

James West

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

"Jim!" might have been an easier quote.

10 minutes into Thousand Eyes and Jim has already said it twice: once to the casino manager and once to Jennifer Wingate. Though only to Jennifer did he stress James.

How about a hint - was the quote spoken by someone other than Jim West?

It was not spoken by someone other than Jim West.

How about Jack Benny's favorite instrument.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

So that would make it from "Night of the Casual Killer," in which Artie plays said instrument.

I guess you're not going to ell us to whom James says the words, eh? OK. (It was to Avery just after Avery reveals he knows Jim's identity and addresses him as "Mr. West.")

You're up, CL.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Shoot, I just saw that episode and thought "that would make a good quote." Now which episode was it...

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Or maybe I should say I watched AN episode with that quote. Could be it appeared in more than one!

James: Thanks, Artie.

"Of course!"

Could that be Mr. Gordon, complying with Mr. Grigsby's request to examine a retrieved Constitution?

You're half right - the speaker I had in mind isn't A. Gordon, Esq., but it is from "The Night of the Bubbling Death."

I don't know if Deirdre ever said that. Either way, I'm giving you a thumbs down.

She did say that when she arranged for Jim to find her "dead."

I think we are going to need a clue!

James: Thanks, Artie.

Yes, I remember Stark's men wanting to talk with Stark...but that's not it.

Falcon, I really think we need a clue, since you've ruled out the obvious ones!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

"I want to talk to you."

Katherine Kittredge to Mr. West, "The Legion of Death," tag. She wanted to do more than talk.

Here's my chance to nail down something that's been rattling around my skull but I haven't been able to nail down:

"Stop it."

That's James West. I hear him saying it, very firmly. For the life of me I can't remember the episode, much less the season.

Help!

Hmmmm, an interesting twist to our venerated old game This will take some thinking as nothing immediately comes to mind.

As for "Help!" that's usually mine or Cal Gal's line!

Might persuade me to watch a few episodes. <sigh> The things we do in the name of research!

Try this one, ccb.

West to the marshal/sheriff/deputy in Man-Eating House. Marshal/sheriff/deputy goes to shoot at the glowing orb thingy. Jim grabs his arm and says "Stop it." Firm, but not a shout.

Normally I wouldn't watch this creepy episode at night, so if I have nightmares I'll blame you!

That must be it. It chimes with the voice in my head. Well, one of them, anyway.

Thank you for putting me out of my misery. You're up, D.T.
