I guess I need to give a "real" clue, huh? Let me think, let me think...

How about "Big Blast"?

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Hooray, you found it. It flits by in that little scene.

Your turn, DT.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Wrong speaker, wrong episode.

Not Dr. Faustina. (Not Big Blast.)

I guess I'll see if I can think of a clue later today!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Not Loveless in any episode.

Here's a clue: James Naismith

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.

Gosh, I thought the Naismith clue would give it away. How about this?

"Alas, poor Yorick..." (the line isn't said in this episode but it should lead you right to it!)

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

How 'bout Jim to Artie in Skulls, complementing Artie on figuring out where the murder's hideout is.

Right or wrong I'm going to go and watch the episode just because I like it.

You are RIGHT, DT! I'm planning to watch Skulls tonight myself. One of my favorite S2 episodes.

And in case anyone is wondering, James Naismith invented basketball--which the boys were on the verge of discovering with "bucket ball." And of course, the speech, "Alas, poor Yorick..." was addressed to a skull.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

I was going to ask about James Naismith or google him. Thanks for the answer. I am off in search of a good quote.

Easy - Dick January, the man who built the dumbwaiter for the never-stated-as-such-but-plainly-German Embassy in "The Night of the Big Blackmail." (There are only two people he could have been talking to in that quote, and it's not Artemus Gordon...)

It's not Jim (and it's not Artie either, by the way - yes, folks, it's a rare quote from a scene in which our heroes do NOT appear!) and it's the wrong episode. But here's a clue to the episode: Vulcan, and not the one you're thinking of.
