The clue helped in that I started thinking about which season 3 episode had a scene with more than a single woman in it. Not many! I knew it was Artie saying it, just couldn't place where before that.

I'll be back later with a new quote.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Season 2:

He could just kill you.

Right you are! That didn't take long! I didn't even have to think of any clues.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Nope, not Fire & Brimstone.

'Land of cotton' has a double meaning here, by the way.

Despite all your clues, I'm blanking out on this one. Probably because I don't watch season 4 as much as other seasons, except for a few episodes.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.

Sorry. No, no, and no.

To recap:

Season 4:
I'm aware it is very, very risky.

Clue:
China (There's a reason why the word China is this color.)
cages
the land of cotton (double meaning)
goin' fishin'
wine, women, and song
coffee and o j
a twist of the arm
Artie is in this one!

And a new clue:
One of the agents had just left the room.

Artie to Miss Collingwood in TNOT Diva.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.

I suddenly remembered the "cages" in Diva, and that Jim left the train, leaving Artie and Miss Collingwood behind.

But you're going to have to explain the other clues, Niecie!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Ok, here's what I meant by the remaining clues:

China (There's a reason why the word China is this color.) Because Artie was drinking from a green china teacup in the scene.
the land of cotton (double meaning) One meaning: the story took place in New Orleans. Other meaning: in the teaser, Artie had cotton in his ears to block out the diva's nagging.
goin' fishin' Artie spoke of using someone as bait to lure out the would-be kidnappers.
wine, women, and song At the club where Jim talks to the dead guy's niece, all three are present.
coffee and o j What was on the breakfast table on the train.
a twist of the arm Artie figuratively does this to get Miss Collingwood to pretend to be the diva.
Artie is in this one! So you don't have to search through the Artieless ones!

Good clues! Perfectly obscure!

I'll be back later with a new quote.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
