Not only is Artie in this one, he says it to the Girl of the Week (don't remember her name, but it was Toian Matchinga's third appearance on the show) in the final scene of one of the better season four episodes, "The Night of the Spanish Curse."

"Make them both as uncomfortable as possible." - Marquis de la Mer, "The Night of the Watery Death"

Correct on all counts, CL! Your turn!

(Btw, the character's name was Cosina ó which always makes me think of cocina, which is Spanish for 'kitchen.')

Artie to Jim in TNOT Wolf, when Artie steps out of the coach disguised as the King.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

I found this last night, and the newest clue matches as well.

Artie to Jim in Fire & Brimstone about his choice of mine shafts right after they descend into the mine.

(I would like to know though what specifically 'Jim fibbed' refers to, please.)

U R Right!!!

Jim fibbed when he told the wacko Confederate captain that he was in the army but, I believe, was on furlough because of being wounded.

James: Thanks, Artie.

Jim is RIGHT, Ready-Made Corpse is RIGHT ó but Artie, not so much. Should I make you go for that part too, or should we go ahead and call this correct?

Well, I still don't know who he said it to. Let's see, choices are...

Lavendor

Rose

Pellargo

Mrs. Pellargo

Claudio Antille

As another wild guess, how about Rose?

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

SŪ. According to my notes:

Ready-Made Corpse, Jim to SeŮora Pellargo, about what the assassin had to say when caught (dead)(ish)

Your turn!

(Oh, and the ironic lyrics were the song Rose's pa was singing while being stalked by the murderous Lavendor. He was singing, 'Alive, alive, o-oh...')
