Oh, that's helpful. It's not like there are many episodes of WWW where Jim and Artie get bound!

I'm going to have to watch the ep when I get home to get the correct character names and perhaps even the correct ep name but I'm thinking it is whatever character Lana Wood played (whose name I think sounded like a boys) to James in TNOT Deadly Plague.

*Dang! I hate that I can't check the web for this.*

Ummm, actually the character's name is Avery, she's the girl who Jim keeps knocking out with what looks strangely like the Vulcan neck pinch from Star Trek, LOL, and it's the Night of the Plague {no qualifiers in the title]

So, is that the answer to this particular line? Avery to Jim in TNOT Plague?

btw this ep has one of my favorite all time Artie lines to Jim when he finally catches up to his partner and gives him the inoculation, Artie says, 'I can't even leave you alone for an hour, can I?" And Jim cracks up so much at that I swear I have to wonder if RM was ad-libbing, just to get RC to do that.

[Jim] Artie, you will help, won’t you?
[Artie] Oh, sure. There’ll be two of us.

Probably because RM had been gone for a long while on medical leave!

It's exactly moments like that--that show a 5th season could have been quite terrific no matter how much the violence was reduced. The partnership between Jim and Artie became so perfect that they could have solved another season's worth of devilish crimes in the US without having to punch or kill every instigator in each ep.

Okay I agree a fifth season could have been really great, or a disaster. We can't know.

But to get back on topic, is the quote in this part of the thread Avery to Jim in TNOT Plague?

just wondering.

[Jim] Artie, you will help, won’t you?

Clue #2: Just what doesn't Mr. West keep hidden up his sleeve? Sheesh!

BTW: I believe that Ms. Trent spelled her last name "Averi." That, at least, was her abductor's impression.

Took a lot of painstaking research, but I suffered through.

Artie to Jim in TNOT Juggernaut.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Just to let you know, if ccb confirms my guess is right, be patient, for I might not be able to provide a new quote immediately. I'm off to serve my country... or at least my county. I have been summoned for jury duty and have to report for the selection process today.

And if ccb says I'm wrong... well, good luck to the next guesser.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Cal Gal: Artie to Jim in TNOT Juggernaut.

That's correct. You are now cleared for jury duty.

Well, I got excused. It was to be a pretty nasty case and I'm glad I was not even called to be interviewed in the jury box. All done.

Now I'll see if I can come up with a quote as interesting as ccb's.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.

Well, I didn't want the sheriff coming after me.

Okay, here's my contribution. Let's see how long this one lasts.

From season 3:

No, we’re not, we’re just in a hurry.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

I presume a clue is in order. Let me see, let me see... This should be a dead giveaway.

Wyatt Earp's gun.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Goll-ee!! Am I going to have to come up with another clue? I honestly thought all the TV westerns fans here would get that clue easily.

Let me think about it!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
