No that's not the record. I think the record is in seconds, but I can't remember who set it. Probably Double take, and if she wasn't on vacation she probably would have solved the last few pronto!

And it is SO difficult to predict how stumped or not stumped the "panelists" are going to be. I've put out quotes I thought, ha! No one is going to get THIS one! And it's gobbled up immediately. Then others, oh well, I can't think of anything else... And it takes days.

Let me see what I can come up with.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

OK, found one right off in my handy-dandy collection of quotes.Let's see how long this one lasts.

From season 2 (OK, WWWchicky? :

Cain was a brother.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Oh, boy--um...All I can think of is "The Night of the Colonel's Ghost," but I don't think Abel's brother was Cain...

No, I remember--it was Bert. His brother was Bert--he fell out of the closet, and scared the living daylights out of me--more than once!

Huh--well, I might think of it later. Anyone else know this one?

WWWchicky :>

Artie: James…you’re always hanging around.

Jim: An occupational hazard—lately, I seem to get tied up in my work.

My guess is that it was some episode about betrayal and/or murder. The only problem is, about half of the episodes in the series are exactly that!

In a sense you are right, but I wouldn't say that was this episode's primary theme, at least not initially. How's that for an early, obscure clue?

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Humph! Okay, my guess is it's Artie to Jim about Day's father in "The Night of the Man-Eating House."

Nope, not Man-Eating House, and wrong speaker.

Oh, well. I wasn't positive on that one, anyway.

Tottering Tontine but unfortunately who said it to whom I can't remember. If I get to my DVD's before the answer is posted I'll be sure to post the who said it to whom.

I think you're right, Chibbi. I'll still think Artie said it, because it sounds like something he'd say.

Incidentally, were Cain and Abel twins?

Don't rush. You're wrong.

I know--patience is one of my absent virtues!

Hmm...okay, this is a bit of a wild guess, but Artie to Jim about the Maharajah's sons in "The Night of the Golden Cobra."

Probably not right, but I don't have anything better at the moment!

Nope.

At least the episodes are being whittled down.

And remember, earlier I told you that you had the wrong speaker.

James: Thanks, Artie.

Oh, sheesh--I think you're right, Cali Girl. With my lack of directional skills, I'll drive towards Canada and end up in Florida! ;)

Hmm...okay, I'm really hitting the bottom of the barrel with this one, but I have one more guess before I hit the sack: Judge M'Guigan to...um...how about Jim for a change? --about Zeno Baroda in "The Night of the Infernal Machine"?

If not, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Sleep tight!

School hasn't started in New York either. Not until a week from tomorrow. She's just enjoying herself while she can. My kids are doing the same thing.

Lucky for all of you!! I remember looong ago school didn't begin till right after Labor Day. But that changed back and forth for a while now. It starts nearly 2 weeks before Labor Day at the moment in SoCal, unfortunately.
