Since the beginning, I've been working on the assumption that this is yet another of Jim's casual, cryptic responses.

But now, thinking about it, I'm wondering if I was wrong...

Artie: James…you’re always hanging around.

Jim: An occupational hazard—lately, I seem to get tied up in my work.

Yeah this quote has to be the most confusing one yet. I feel I know I've heard it and thought I knew it. But I just can't combine the line before with the one we're supposed to figure out! I'm completely stumped and don't have time to watch all 28 1st season eps right now!

Well, I only have about 14 season 1 eps to go! (I should have just started my "production order" marathon with this.)

However, I watched all the ones that I thought might fit the clues, none of which were right of course, so now I'm just watching, trying to look for the situation where those 2 lines would show up.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Thinking it might be from one of the eps I don't really watch to much I browsed thru Red-Eyed Madman. Didn't hear it.

Things have certainly been quiet on the board lately.

Tell me about it--it's like Paradox in "TNOT Death Masks."

Well, minus the really weird stuff.

I have a couple of ideas for tonight--episodes I first thought, no that couldn't be it, but have since reconsidered. Stay tuned. I have a feeling this is going to be a real head-slapper!

I have to say, I watched Sudden Plague last night and didn't hear the line. Doesn't mean it's not there, because these things are so easy to miss if one becomes distracted for a second or two!

I'm still looking! (Listening?)

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Call off "The Sudden Plague." It's not there.

Let's sketch it out once more.

Season One

They said: "You don't belong here."
He answers: "I might."

The door was open.
The threat of throwing him in the river.
Throwing the lights off.
They're right at your feet.
Trying to do "the fair and decent thing." (That in itself could have been a quiz quotation.)
And the new clues I've introduced in this post.

I never imagined something so simple would rattle this gang of trivia experts for over a week.

Will someone please identify this so that we all can move on?

I found it! I found it! OMG, I think it's the last episode I could have and would have watched--not a favorite.

ccb, you are going to have to explain your clues though.

Artie to the bad guys who catch him in Carma's cabin in TNOT Flaming Ghost

Now maybe I can concentrate on finding Miss Minnow.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

I know I'm correct because I just watched the episode. But I'll wait for ccb to give me the word... just in case there's another episode with the same dialogue!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Whee! After all the torture I endured having to watch one WWW episode after another, I'm going to rest a bit... and watch some more www.

I'll try to find a tricky quote, but I doubt I can find one THAT tricky!

OK, let's try this, from season 2:

I never thought I’d hear myself say this.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

You've got it, chibbi. You're up.

Good job, Cal Gal! I knew you would find it they way you were watching every season 1 ep!! I assume you heard it in the 28th ep you put in? And by the way--I instantly knew your Feathered Fury quote when I just saw it. "Let's search the monkey" comes next doesn't it?

Yep that's the next line. I should have waited until today to find a quote instead of doing it just before bedtime last night. Might have been able to post a stickier one! Next time!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Congradulations, Cali Girl! I just read the good news.

I know this will sound crazy, but I was starting to wonder if the quote "I might" had been said in English, or if CCB was trying to get us to use our translations skills. That being said, I thought it might have been Artie and what's her face talking in Cantonese in that gattling gun scene in "TNT Dragon Screamed."

But I guess my theories go to prove one thing--they're all crazy!!!

My brain hurts from all that thinking--can we have some easy quotes for a while?

P.S. My compliments to CCB, for picking a quote that went from an easy sixty-second-er to an all-out maddening experience.

I didn't answer Dieter's other question, whether I found it in the 28th episode I watched. Not quite. There were a few eps that I knew were very unlikely, such as Murderous Spring, which I've watched frequently.

I'm afraid I put off watching Flaming Ghost because it's one of my least liked, but as soon as the scene with Artie entering the cabin came up, I KNEW that was going to be it.

I wonder if they were really speaking Cantonese or any other dialect in Dragon Screamed (which I also watched). Perhaps it's like in Arrow, where the guy playing the half-breed just talked gibberish and the producers decided to leave it rather than dub in the real tribal language--because it sounded more authentic!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
