I think I know who says it, and I think I know the circumstances (almost), but I can't think of which episode. I'm kind of burned out on watching season 1 eps at the moment. (But I'm sure I'll recover quickly.) |
James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"? James: Thanks, Artie. Artemus: It's a pleasure. - TNOT Pistoleros |

I would think you already know the answer, since you watched nearly every Season 1 ep to find the "I might" quote already. |

Yeah, but I was only listening for "I might," not for "when do you want me to finish." |

I think a clue or two is due. |

I was afraid you'd ask that. I was hoping I wouldn't have to supply one. Let me think a bit... |

Well, as I've said before, sometimes supplying a clue that won't be a dead giveaway is harder than finding (and guessing) the quote itself.
I'm still pretty sure I know who said it--just cannot figure out which ep. |

Crazy guess time--Artie to Jim in "TNOT Deadly Bed."
Artie wasn't making fireworks, but exploding coal is about as close as you can get to the real deal. |
WWWchicky :>
Artie: James…you’re always hanging around.
Jim: An occupational hazard—lately, I seem to get tied up in my work.

Oh! Crazy guess time, though I can't think of where fireworks happened in that: Crystal to Jim in "TNOT Thousand Eyes." |

Oh so I assume it wasn't fireworks of Steel Assassin either towards the end? I just can't think of who said that line.
If it's a girl I wondered if Nina said it to Jim in that ep. |

Oh, hey--didn't "TNT Dragon Screamed" have fireworks in the beginning?
Or maybe that was "TNOT Pelican"... |

AH HA!! I already did that yesterday!! Good clue, but I just forget who said the quote! It's wide open for all of us, unless I get a chance to watch Steel Assassin tonight! |

Oh, it was Steel Assassin? Humph! I thought it was too obvious--I was looking for something abstract!
I'm going to leave this one to DE--he's the one who thought of it, anyway. |

| I didn't get to see Steel Assassin yet to find the quote. I guess it wasn't Nina to Jim though. I might watch it in a little. |

| I watched Steel Assassin too and didn't notice the quote. Some of these quotes just slide on by. I do believe I was distracted around that time by a couple of cats who both decided they needed to be on my lap at the same time. Might try again today. |

Nope.
I'll add this to the pot - it isn't Jim saying the line. |

Oh! Could it be that waitress lady Artie was flirting with when he and Jim were in the bar Torres had commandeered? |

Yay! I'll have to stump you guys tomorrow, though, because I'm building a popsicle stick bridge for a competition in Science tomorrow, and it has to hold 110 pounds. ( )
Until we meet again... |

Good luck on the bridge. I would think you would have to use arches in the bridge. The Romans did a bang up job with those things! |

Here's a quote I found hanging around the computer--it's from Season Three:
"America, the land of opportunity."
(P.S. My bridge held 250 pounds!!! The funny thing is, it isn't broken yet, because my science teacher ran out of weights to put on it...
I'm going to try to add more weight to it in the second half of the competition tomorrow, just to see how much it can really hold. Cross your fingers, everybody! ) |
