This happened to me once. I posted a quote and someone guessed it immediately because she had it on her list of potential quotes. I have this one.

Jim to Grant and Artie in TNOT Arrow.

Congrats on your successful experiment!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Yup--right on the nose, Cali Girl. You're up next!

(P.S. Yay for me!!! )

WWWchicky :>

Artie: James…you’re always hanging around.

Jim: An occupational hazard—lately, I seem to get tied up in my work.

Chicky that is so cool! How many popsicle sticks were you allowed to use? The physics teacher where I used to teach had his students making roller coasters and also doing the bridge experiment...or was that the CAD teachers? Too long ago to remember...anyway, it was always a fun day during the quarter when the competition took place!

This may be easy too--but maybe not. One just never knows!

Season 4:

Looks like we were expected.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

We could use up to 300 sticks, but my bridge only used approx. 280-285. The bridge weight, though, was really far below the maximum--only 345.5 grams instead of 500 grams.

It was underweight, I guess--should have fed it more wood glue!

And I think you're right. Thought maybe I could slip that "offhand remark" through but you were too sharp. Pistoleros is my most-watched episode but didn't know if everyone watched it often!

Back to you. (This is like Ping-Pong, huh? LOL!)

Jim to Vautrain in Lord of Limbo.

(You keep picking episodes I have memorized.)

OK, let me see what I can find. Be back later... if I don't wash away in the flood. 3+ inches of rain so far today and it's still coming down!

Correction: I just checked the NOAA site and we've had 4+ inches. Of course that's less that half of what has come down in the nearby mountains where they've had over 9 inches so far!

But it never rains in California!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Same here in NorCal. As far as I can tell the rain hasn't stopped since this morning.

Santa Cruz County is being hit HARD! Power is out all over the place. Fortunately (knock on wood) no problems here yet. Dozens of roads closed due to slides, floods, etc. A one-day wonder, at least.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

It's even raining in SoCal today. Pretty lite rain off and on though, but it is wet. The kids are still riding their scooters outside right now anyway. Baseball practice got cancelled though because of the weather.

Okay, let's see how long this quote lasts. From season 4:

I’m not inviting you to dance.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

We're just getting too smart around here... or else there aren't any good quotes left (unless ccb finds them).

You are up, DT!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Perhaps the secret is not to have Jim or Artie say the line.

Oh, sometimes those aren't much better. I think I've tried that. I have a few on my quotes list. But DT is usually pretty good at coming up with tricky ones.

I may use my favorite next time I'm up: "Jim!" LOL!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

Good grief! That's almost as bad as "Jim!"

Well, there's at least three obvious episodes it could be from. We shall see whether it's one of those or something sneaky.

James: Thanks, Artie.

True, Artie speaks Spanish there. Would have to watch it again to see if he says the quote!
