Hi Mr. Conrad --
You mentioned on your radio show that the WWW train was sold to a man in Florida . . . . can you tell us more about that . . . . was it the train set from CBS/Radford etc.?

Dear Robert,

Elia Kazan was an amazing director. Two of my favorite films he directed are "On the Waterfront" with Brando and "East of Eden" with James Dean. I've read in various James Dean biographies that Kazan really toyed with Jimmy's own vulnerability in order that he come across as one in the same with the Cal Trask character.

How have you prepared for difficult scenes? There is one scene in "Centennial" in which you [as Pasquinel] have to bundle up 200 lb. bales of fur and basically carry them by a strap put around your head while using your back for support. How on Earth did you set your mind/body to pull it off? Brilliant performance! I'm sure with your dogged determination, it only took you 1 take to get it on film.

Take care and good luck with your surgery....I have nurse envy! I'm sure the Johns Hopkins' professionals will take fantastic care of you.

I thought Elia Kazan was just incredible in one of his first acting roles as "Googi", James Cagney's boyhood pal turned mobster in "City For Conquest", a film with some great boxing sequences. Have you seen the movie?

Have a great show tonight!

Hey RC, Got an e-mail from Erin saying that Stefanie Powers was to be your guest. WooHoo! A great lady and I've enjoyed much of her work. (Hopefully your reading this before the show else the next bit will be wasted.) If possible can you ask if she is still involved with the William Holden Wildlife Foundation and if she still visits Kenya?

Have a good show.

RC, I've always considered Antoinette Bower to be one of the hottest WWW women to appear on the show.
Do you remember anything specific about her guest appearance?

Calamity Jane that horse would be over 40+ years if he were still alive. I don't think he's alive anymore.

Hi Robert. I hope you're enjoying the 2-hour shows as much as we are. In choosing a role, did you have to identify somehow with the character?

Nancy Conrad's husband had a truck accident last week. Please pray for him. I'm pretty sure he survived but he was covered with blood. Here is Nancy's email that she asked me to post.

Dear Sue,
My husband was driving this truck on the 30th. I sent a message to dad on the way to the hospital. Don't know if he got it. Can you put it on his personal Wild Wild West thread for me?
Thanks so much. He was covered in blood when we, myself and his grandchildren arrived.
Love,
Nancy

http://www.the-signal.com/news/article/15036/

Also, it was when we ARRIVED at the hospital receiving a phone message, but until then, we didn't know if he was alive. Not even the police could tell me. It was horrible. I thought he was dead it was then, I tried to reach dad. Haven't heard since.
Time for zzz's
Thanks,
Nancy

Just a note of caution to our board members from the management:

I'm going to ask you guys to stay out of family issues here on the forum. Family things are rarely ever resolved and usually come down to 'he said she said'. There are always years of history that only the primary parties truly know or understand.

What you do behind the scenes is your business, but again I encourage you to let folks deal with their personal issues personally. I think everyone here is adult enough not to get caught up in anyone's family business, as tempting as it seems and as inviting as it seems when it does appear here on the forum.

I will ask that you please do not use the forum email function to engage in such things, either. I will also be asking individuals to use some self-editing when talking about others who are also on this forum.

Thank you all for keeping the peace.

-Yours in (secret) service,

Hi Folks,

I just registered a day or so ago and received my confirmation email message. I was informed about this board from a friend at the Incomparable Robert Conrad yahoo fan group site. They told me about Robert's radio show, and I've called and spoken to him the past two weeks. I've been a life-long dedicated supporter.

I have quite a video collection of his five decades of work in television and film. I have enormous respect and regard for him, the man he is, the strong dedicated family man he is, the principled man he is, the honest man he is, and for his professionalism and body of work all these decades.

As a computer design engineer, we tend to be very direct, say what we mean, and mean what we say. So, here's honesty right back at'em, ten fold. I have always been a supporter, have great personal affection for him, pure and simple, and care about him a great deal, very sincerely. I said this to him on the radio. It never gets old, never gets tired, and never wears off, not with him. I would describe this as genuine respectful fondness.

He is held in enormous regard and highest respect. I thank him for doing this radio show. I thank him for the privilege of being able to speak to him and express my appreciation and admiration. I'll continue to call. I said all this to him on the radio, too.

I also extended greetings to him from my colleagues and his fellow pilots in the United States Air Force.

Regards, Desiree
