You know nothing? Not so, beerbad! You know what episode it is!

Now, to help pinpoint where to look, consider Clue the third carefully; it is eminently germane to the quote.

Season 4
A true nectar

Clue the first:
As is appropriate for the fourth season, I should inform you from the start whether Artie's in this one. Well, he isn't.

Clue the second:
Everyone wants to make sure that one woman knows 'her place.'

Clue the third:
Ok, I'll admit I know little about wine, but I thought sherry wasn't classified by year?

Clue the fourth:
Cameo earrings

Clue the fifth:
One of those episodes where the weather should probably have had an acting credit; the thunder certainly crashed with dramatic timing

Clue the sixth:
Speaking of dramatic timing, at the line 'fires of perdition,' cue the atmospheric howling...

Clue the seventh:
I once read a fanfic where all the characters in this episode (except Jim, of course) were based on the characters of Gilligan's Island.

Clue the eighth:
Doesn't anyone in this place ever shut a door securely? That's the fourth door or shutter that's been blown around by the wind!

Clue the ninth:
The clue of the glass on the window sill

Clue the tenth:
The conundrum of the claws up the sleeves

OK, I'll make a wild guess: said by Steven Rydell, perhaps when the wine/sherry? is brought out the first time, or else when he's imbibing it in the cellar.

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?
James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: It's a pleasure.

Not Rydell, but your situation is pretty close. (And that wasn't Rydell getting schnockered in the cellar.)

I get them mixed up and haven't watched the ep in ages.

Mordecai Krone?

There you go.

(And I'll admit, I found it hard to keep track of which character was which in that episode. I tend to think of them as the lawyer, the partner, the husband, the nephew - the names I would have to look up.)

Your turn, Cal Gal.

To niecie: No, I don't even know enough to keep my mouth shut till I get all the information ready. I gave Calgal the episode and she got the rest! Just teasing, ladies, and I hope I didn't intrude into your game. I guess it's open for all? Now back to the game.

The game is most certainly open to all--and if you look back on the early pages, there was a time when many were playing it. Please, jump in any time! Niecie and I are just keepin' it goin' in the hopes that it will regain at least a fraction of its popularity. A good way to show your interest in, love for, and knowledge of the series!

OK, I didn't know it was a Brook Benton song! The first clue gave it away for me. I figured it was Harry Dean Stanton that we recently lost, but that was wrong. Then I thought of Richard Andersen. So, that led me to The Night of the Headless Woman and the quote is in the teaser. It's Jim to Artie after Artie offers to take care of the woman. A good line. Now I have to look up that song!

Ah, I got it. "The Boll Weevil Song". Very clever. I don't think I've heard that one.

I'm going to go ahead and put the next quote on now. I use the computers at the public library since I don't have one of my own, and I probably won't be back for a few days.

The quote is, "You look even sillier without the beard". From the second season.

Good going, Beerbad. You are, of course, correct. Funny thing, I happened to be listening to the Sirius 50s music channel and they played the Brook Benton song. Otherwise I might not have thought of it!

James: Thanks, Artie.
Artemus: "Thanks Artie"! Is that all you can say to me? I've just come back from the grave, risen like Lazarus, and that's what you say? "Thanks, Artie"?

OK, clue #1 : The villain is in trouble with his family for drinking, gambling and womanizing. So, what else is new?

Oh gosh I almost never even peek in on the dialogue quiz. I just did it on a whim this time. I actually think I know the answer!

The speaker is John Astin as Nikolai to Artie in disguise as Rimsky in the Night of the Tartar.

Right you are, nydiva. Yes, indeed, join us. It's a fun way to do the quiz, which I miss. Being an Artie fan, you would know that one. I have it as Count Sazanov to Artie disguised as Feodor Rimsky.

Some other clues I didn't get to use: Disco balls existed in the 1870's? and we learn that Alaska was acquired by the United States five years before this episode, making it 1872. And, Walter Sande appears as Colonel Crockett.

Sorry it takes me awhile to get back to you. But, you now have the floor for a new quote of your choice.

It's a lot easier guessing then making up Clues. I was about to give up. However...

Pretty sure that's Artie to Dr Loveless, TNOT Raven (after Artie provides tiny Jim with a weapon in the arena match against the good doctor's cat; Loveless accuses Artie of cheating, and this is his response).

I agree too. Coming up with clues that lead to the answer but aren't a dead giveaway isn't easy!

James: Thanks, Artie.

Niecie's got it and I'm off the hook! I'm particularly fond of that line since "Sue Me" is the name of a song Ross sang in the musical "Guys and Dolls"
